After a slew of injuries that sidelined him for the better part of three seasons, Grady Sizemore returned to the field today as the starting center fielder for the Boston Red Sox. When healthy, Sizemore was one of the best players in baseball. He was a three time All-Star, two time Gold Glove Award winner and even recorded a 30-30 season.
Sizemore was given the opening day start after Shane Victorino was place on the 15 day DL on sunday. Sizemore opened the season with a bang. Singling in his first at bat and then hitting a solo home run in his second at bat.
Hoping for the best for Sizemore.
