It's tough to look at the Eagles schedule team by team and say how well a team will do. We don't know what kind of injuries the Eagles or their opponents will have, but lets look at it any way and say if we played these teams right now who would come out on top.
Lets start with the NFC East. Anything can happen in any game in this division. Last year the birds were 4-2 in the division. The NFC East will be better this year. Some say the balance of power has shifted, but anyone with a brain knows the birds are still the favorite. That being said, I say the Eagles repeat last year at 4-2.
Unfortunately for the Eagles and the entire NFC East, we have to play the NFC West which is by far the best division in football. I think we split with this division. 2-2 I think we beat the Rams for sure. The 49ers on the road is a loss. The toss up here is the Cardinals on the road and the Seahawks at home. The Cardinals were a 10-6 team last year, they beat the Seahawks in Seattle and we beat them in a really tough game at the Linc. Surprisingly, I think the Seahawks game is winnable. They are a different team on the road. 2/3 losses last year were on the road so we have a shot. Regardless we split with that division. 6-4 so far.
On the other hand, fortunately, the NFC East also plays the AFC South who was dreadful last year. The Birds should beat the Titans and Jaguars easily. The Texans were pitiful last year, but they can't be that bad again. Still a very winnable game. Indianapolis on the road is tough game. 3-1 vs. the AFC South. 9-5.
Two other games to go. REALLY tough games to pick. Panthers at home and Green Bay on the road. I think the safe pick is to say we split these games. Not sure exactly how they will turn out. My guess is we beat the Panthers lose to Packers. 1-1 vs random teams.
10-6 overall. Same record as last year. I think that's good enough to get us the NFC East Championship once again.
The highlight of the season to me will be when we smack the Cowboys around on Thanksgiving in Jerry's World.
